Jerry Inzerillo Wikipedia, Biography, Wife, Net Worth, Age, Daughter, Salary, Nationality – The Emirate of Diriyah was the name used when the First Saudi State was established in 1727. Its name came from the capital, which was on the environs of Riyadh, and it covered all of modern-day Saudi Arabia.

It served as the Arab world’s supreme centre of power. In Saudi Arabia now, some three centuries later, Riyadh serves as the capital of a nation that not only has the greatest Arab economy in the world but also belongs to the G20. Riyadh is the region’s economic hub, and it has unrestrained ambitions.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia has declared his intention to make Riyadh one of the top 10 city economies in the world.
Plans are being developed for the kingdom to invest US$220 billion in transforming the metropolis over the course of the next ten years, doubling its existing resident population of around seven million. Megadevelopment projects are being built as a supplement to that plan.
One of these is the mixed-use complex in Diriyah on the outskirts of Riyadh, which cost $50.6 billion. The At-Turaif District in Diriyah, a mud-brick-walled area that served as the former capital of the Emirate of Diriyah and the home of the royal family that ruled the First Saudi State with a direct line to the current monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The present development of the Diriyah project, which was first announced in 2017, spans a 14 sq km area. There are three phases being worked on: Diriyah Gate 1, Diriyah Gate 2, and Diriyah Gate 3. (DG3). Business Traveller Middle East recently received unprecedented access to the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) headquarters in Riyadh to witness its vision.
DG1 is now being created with a focus on Saudi culture and tradition, and it will include a total of 24 cultural items on its northern side. In contrast, the southern DG1 wing will have 1,600 residential properties that can accommodate 6,000 people.
All structures being developed in DG1 will adhere to the Najdi mud-brick design of architecture, which melds perfectly with the neighbouring At-Turaif District. For size, more than 180 million mud bricks have already been produced for the project; if they were all lined up, they would extend 3.7 times as far as the Great Wall of China.
It will be the biggest mud-brick city in the world, built as much as possible using conventional building techniques and materials in the region’s distinctive Najdi architectural style. This anchor the project in Diriyah’s past and guarantees that we are paying homage to this 300-year-old city in a genuine manner. According to Jerry Inzerillo, group chief executive officer at DGDA, Diriyah has never been and will never be just another place close to Riyadh.
The expansive Wadi Hanifah, which is roughly double the size of Hyde Park and half the size of Central Park, runs along Diriyah’s outer perimeter and features a rich environment of palm trees. A royal order prohibits the removal of any palm trees in Wadi Hanifah at any point throughout the area’s development.
By 2030, Diriyah is expected to welcome 27 million tourists annually. Its hospitality options will be crucial in achieving those figures. 38 hotels will be present overall in the project. 18 will open in the first phase, though, including 4 in Wadi Safar and 14 in Diriyah, close by.
It features brands from all over the world, such as Address Hotels and Resorts from Emaar Hospitality Group in the UAE, Baccarat Hotels & Resorts in New York, and an Armani Hotel from Milan, the third Armani hotel worldwide. The Ritz-Carlton and The Luxury Collection, the latter of which will be the first hotel to open in Diriyah the following year, will both be provided by Marriott.
It will be the first Orient Express property in the Middle East, and Accor will be present in Diriyah with both its Raffles and Orient Express brands. Additionally, the Four Seasons, which is located in a famous building in the heart of Riyadh, has also announced that it will open. Rosewood, which was once in Riyadh but left the city, will also be returning with a presence in Diriyah.
